The 3 most beautiful sledging trails
Pure sledging fun in the AlpsPass regions
We’ve picked three sledging highlights from the AlpsPass regions for you: spectacular viewpoints, speedy descents and plenty of fun for the whole family. Grab your sledge – and off you go!
Moosfluh–Riederalp Sledging Trail (Aletsch Arena)
High above the Aletsch Arena, the View Point Moosfluh awaits – one of the most stunning places to kick off a sledge ride, with a breathtaking view of the Great Aletsch Glacier. From Riederalp Mitte, a short walk brings you to the Moosfluh gondola valley station. A few minutes later, you’re already surrounded by panoramic winter views.
The trail leads you via Scheene Bodu and Gopplerlücke back down to Riederalp, accompanied by uninterrupted vistas of the Valais mountains.
Tip: You can rent sledges in the local sports shops.

Elsigen-Metsch Sledging Run (Adelboden-Lenk)
This family-friendly sledging run offers pure alpine panorama: wide valleys, snowy peaks and perfect photo moments. The descent starts at the upper cable car station and ends at the valley station in Elsigbach. Sledges are available for rent on-site.
Insider tip: Full-moon sledging on 3 January, 31 January and 1 March 2026 – winter magic at its best.

Jungfrau Eiger Run by Night (Jungfrau Ski Region)
Spectacular by day – legendary by night: the Eiger Run is one of the steepest and most exciting sledging trails, with gradients of up to 36%.
With the Jungfrau Eiger Run Evening Ticket, the Wengernalp Railway takes you to Alpiglen as often as you like. From there, a 3.5-kilometre illuminated route leads down into the valley. The night-time lights create a special atmosphere and plenty of high-speed fun.
Food tip: Warm up after your ride with a fondue in Alpiglen or Brandegg – the perfect cosy finish.
